Mandela Way

A planning application for the former car pound on Dunton Road / Mandela Way has been registered with Southwark Council.

The proposal includes 231 residential units and 1,377sqm of B1 light industrial uses. This does, however, represent a net loss of total industrial space and a violation of current protective planning policy that designates Mandela Way as a SIL (Strategic Industrial Location).

The application insists the site is unused, however, we recently visited the site and found it being used as yard / industrial accommodation for its neighbour Conways.
